The Other Side of Chinese Growth - Ghost Cities

I remember when I visited China,Guangzhou the city have 2 major spot.Where I stay during my business trip is a 5 star Mayor hotel which oversee the huge Olympic stadium standing majestically where I can't even believe my eyes that China have this kind of high profile building. The place I stayed which is a few kilometer away from Guangzhou Industrial area is a new modern town by itself.A Jusco shopping complex,Mc Donald and some recognizable outlet which really fascinating.I did not even imagine that China had grown to this standard with modern infrastructure. The second spot is down town old Guangzhou with original China style town which I like the most.Typical old China town with a lot of traditional still intact. They even made noodles by hand on the same spot. That really something interesting to see.

I did not aspect this kind of culture change shock in China where I still think the same old style of living.I had a chance to visit one of my working colleges apartment which I can only say outstanding.Of cause not to mention on those are really poor. All the gadgets in the world are on my friend possession and until today I still keep in touch with him through mail and Face book.He use to update what is the latest gadget he is having and to my surprise he have almost 15 hand phone as a collection and Ipad..? Well this you can get it cheap in China with China made of cause.
So now let go back to the topic and as we know China is one of the growing super economic power in the world today and they had created many cities which is far more excellent from the rest of the world.Modern cities with everything you want to have in a place call modern cities.

But yet we call this cities a Ghost Cities which we can find a lot in China.

These amazing images show sprawling cities built in remote parts of china which are completely empty, even years after construction!  China in their drive for high GDP figures has created a huge real estate speculative boom which is at dangerous levels. Around 20 new cities are built every where which find few end users.

China's most famous ghost city - Ordos

The area is filled with office towers, administrative centers, government buildings, museums, theaters and sports fields—not to mention acre on acre of subdivisions overflowing with middle-class duplexes and bungalows.
The only problem: the district was originally designed to house, support and entertain 1 million people, yet hardly anyone lives there.

There are no cars in the city, except for a few dozen parked at the glamorous government center!

This city was built in the middle of a desert: Erenhot, Xilin Gol, Inner Mongolia
Half of Erenhot is empty. The other half is unfinished.

The ghost city of Dantu has been mostly empty for over a decade.
And most neighborhoods of Dantu, there are no cars, no signs of life.

The mostly empty city of Bayannao’er, which boasts a beautiful town hall and World Bank-sponsored water reclamation building.
