My short getaway
Its been a while I did not post in The Season In The Sun blog of mine.Well, busy with Deepavali and now I am back. This time I want to write about my recent family short short trip to a famous resort in Melaka call A Famosa.Separated with three areas which is Safari, Water world and evening carnival at a place they call Cowboy town. Well it look like a Cowboy town in did with an additional special spooky touch,because....we are there during the Halloween celebration.Right time in a right place I guess. There are a lot of ghost every where for sure.Stretch along the street with spooky decoration with ghost trees, pumpkins and Halloweens paraphernalias. Really a family fun and we enjoyed it very much, especially on a Red Indian shows,Animal Musical carnival and a parade with an amassing fire work. Really nice and we do had a lots of fun especially my two kid. We stayed at Condotel with a nice view and the place it not bad and comfortable for a family of four.
Bodhidharma and the "7 am arivu"
Bodhidharma in Japanese painting by Yoshitoshi, 1887.
The resent Tamil film "7 am arivu" (meaning 7th sense) catching imagination of even common man about Bodhidharma, curious readers are all looking for more on his personality and findings.Really amused after all this years the brief story of a Tamilian called Bodhidharma had hit the silver screen cinema in Tamil Nadu.Although this is only a brief sketch of his life but it's really mean something for this generation to ponder on the great yogi who been worshiped in a place like Greater China,Japan and others part of the world. The base of famous Shaolin Temple and kung Fu fighting which we use to watch in Hong Kong Chinese movies. For this I had decided to post some of his life stories which can shade some light to us on this remarkable person or yogi which been lost in Tamil mind.

The World's Most Exotic Pets
Monkeys, Lions and Chimpanzees are animals we often see in the wild or on the Discovery Channel. The following are some exotic albeit expensive pets that can be legally bought. These animals, however do come with a heavy price tag and that is not including the upkeep.

Vedic Mathematics.
Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras or word-formulae. For example, 'Vertically and Crosswise` is one of these Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind naturally works and are therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution.

Scrabble Works
The pressure's on, and as you glance back and forth between your rack and the board, you can hardly believe your eyes at the play you can make. You lay down your seven tiles and, to the amazement of your friends, rack up a triple word score using the letter Z, getting a Bingo in the process. Tonight you've rightly earned your win at Scrabble.
Every night people all over the world set up their racks for a game of Scrabble. Scrabble is a crossword game where players use lettered tiles to build words by placing them on a grid. It's a game of both skill and chance -- you have to have a good knowledge of words, but you're also stuck with whatever tiles you pick and what's already been played on the board.

Ayam Penyet
Ayam Penyet is one of those food that seems to be getting popular nowadays. Considering the fact that few years back, no one in Malaysia would have heard of it, it is quite a feat when we think about how it is flooding our market at the moment. I think it’s quite comparable to the Bubble Tea or Taiwanese Xiang Ji Pai craze (You have one in Jusco Tebrau - They call it Taiwanese Streets shop). But yet while the interest of those 2 foods wear off after a while, this Indonesian dish I reckon will still be around for quite some time because it is a main dish.
Organize your file system
This topic I believe will be an interest when we it concern on filing system in our working place. Most multi national company have an advance filing retrieval system for their documentations. Some still use the traditional filing where for some they prefer to go digital. As you know in manufacturing environment with ISO and TS requirement and government requirement as well, some documents had to be stored up to 7 years. This sure will be a lot of papers and I do wonder if this are equivalent to how many trees?
Happy Deepavali ! The Malaysian Style
I am prepared for this year 2011 Deepavali celebration.Had buy a plenty of cloths for my two kids which some of them I buy in Chennai during my "Sabari Yatra".Well I spend 2 days in Chennai Tamil Nadu for shopping of cause. This year Deepavali I hope will be as great as previous year and when I think about it the first thing came into my mind is the morning breakfast of "Thosei" and "Iddly" the traditional cuisine at my mom place. This is the moment I always waiting for.Of cause from breakfast, lunch with bryani and up to tea time I will be spending with my parents and siblings together with all my nephews on this joyful festival of lights.
Really looking forward for this moment every year.My kids already asking me what will be the amount they are getting for so call Deepavali "Ang Pow" and how much? This is one of the highlight for kids which will happened only in Malaysia.Chinese New Year,Hari Raya,Deepavali and Christmas..you name it."Ang Pow" which came from Chinese tradition will be there for all the kids. They will get several hundreds at end of the day from their grandparents, uncle, unties and others close relative and I always encourage them to bank into their account as usual which is a practice that all parents should encourage for.I don't do that when I were kids but rule of the thumb always teach the good thing which you lack off.
