If Chin Peng Won The War ? A Make Belive Alternate History Of Malaya

Singapore would have never existed. In an aggressive move in 1950, Chin Peng mobilised an invasion army to squish Singapore into submission. Employing the same tactic as the Japanese, Singapore fell to the hands of Chin Peng within 5 days of the attack. Singapore was renamed "1000 Glorious Martyr Island" in honour of the dead PKM liberators who died for the motherland. The port of Sembawang was then retrofitted to allow Russian boomers and naval ships to use it. Instead of a commercial port, Sembawang became the "Subic Bay" for Soviet forces in the region. As a symbol of socialist solidarity, the Soviet government built 2 nuclear plants in Malaya. One in Terengganu and another in Johor. The People's Republic of Malaya (TPRM), with the aid of Russia and China invaded Indonesia when Sukarno was ousted in 1960 via military coup. Suharto, who was backed by the CIA and Henry Kissinger was aided by military hardwares smuggled from the US. TPRM saw this as a precursor to a possible capitalist aggression on the sovereignty of TPRM. This resulted in an 2 year war which culminated with Suharto captured and hung upside down at the "People's Traitor's Square" in Jakarta. His body was subsequently quartered and sent to the 4 corners of Indonesia as a lesson to not fuck around with the might of TPRM . The Indonesian territory was then duly absorbed into the union in 1963. TPRM was then rechristened as The People's Republic of Malindo.

This sudden expansion of territory was a caused for concern among Western Capitalist leaders. Sarawak, then still under British rule feared the worse. There was a strong communist movement in Sarawak at this time spearheaded by Parti Komunis Kalimantan Utara. Using Kalimantan as a staging point, the Malayan communists helped PKKU in liberating the Sarawakians from the foreign capitalist opressors. As Singapore and Indonesia before, it Sarawak became part of the union. Sabah followed suit when local Marxist revolutioners ousted the puppet regime of Fuad Stephens. Fuad died in a fiery airplane crash believed to be caused by sabotage when he tried to flee tothe Philippines. They were also rumours that the plane was actually shot down by TPRM's latest MIG-17 fighters. The wreckage was never found since the plane crashed in the open sea. Only fragments of the tail section the plane was found following the crash. With the rout completed the US Naval bases in the Philippines ,Guam and Okinawa began its aggressive expansion programme. Aircraft carriers and amphibious assault crafts are stationed there on a year round basis. This is as a deterrent to the possible invasion of the Philippines.

When The Vietnam War broke out in 1965, no western power came to help the South Vietnamese. America didn't offer any help believing that this was actually a diversionary move by Ho Chi Minh to allow Chin Peng to attack the Philippines. After months of one sided battles Saigon fell to the Viet Cong. Thailand then staged her own revolution. King Bumiphol fled from Bangkok before setting an exiled government in Paris. In 1967 the South East Asian Socialist State Union (SEASSU) was formed with Chin Peng given the honour as Union General Secretary. SEASSU formed a close relationship with the Warsaw pact to form the great Eastern Block Coalition. In the same year western media stopped using the term Iron Curtain. Instead they now used the term THE IRON WALL.

In the ensuing chaos Washington misread this as a pre-emptive strike by the Soviets and fired her missiles to Kuala Lumpur, Stalingrad, Kiev ,Murmansk and St Petersburg. Moscow detected the launch and reciprocated with their own nukes on major European and US cities.
