What will happen in 2012...Will it be end of the world?

What will happen in 2012... will the world come to an end? Will December 21, 2012 mark doomsday for humans as a species, the whole planet, perhaps the whole universe? What's going to happen and what should we do to prepare for it?Let me spare you the wait.

The real truth behind 2012 is that it's a hoax. Whether you are caught up in the Mayan prophecy, planetary alignment, super volcanoes, or polar shifts, all these theories emerged only after 2012 was targeted as yet another doomsday date. You've probably heard a lot about the supposed end of the world on December 21, 2012 and may even be a little anxious about it. But there's no need to worry. To shed some light on the subject, here are the most popular end-of-the-world claims and how they are connected to what may well become one of the greatest doomsday hoaxes of modern times (...and there have been A LOT of them).

Live crabs Through Vending Machines

Asians are known to treat animals quiet differently than Europeans or Americans do. But their latest invention really gives me the creeps. Hungry commuters can now grab live crabs from vending machines on their way home.

In the municipality of Nanjing in China crab dishes are already very popular. With the vending machines, the Twin Lake Crab Company, a big crab seller in China, wants to make crab more easily available to consumers. A living crab from the vending machines costs between € 2 and € 6 (between $ 3 and $ 9) depending on the size of the crab (small, medium or large). The vending machines keep their temperature steady at 5 degrees Celsius, sedating the crabs without killing them. The crabs are sold in transparent plastic boxes, just big enough to hold them.

Baking Bread in Ancient Egypt

Royal Bakery in Ancient Egypt

The development of agriculture approximately 10,000 years ago gave rise to permanent settlements which grew into cities and civilizations.  Emmer wheat (Triticum dicoccon), also known as farro, was one of the first crops domesticated in the Ancient Near East, which included the modern countries of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Egypt.  Emmer wheat is not cultivated today because it is a low yielding variety.  Also, Emmer wheat is more difficult to mill into flour because the chaff does not come off through threshing.

Ten Famous Children’s Bedtime Stories

Are you having difficulties putting your children to sleep? Are they often distracted? Would they prefer watching TV or playing computer games to dozing off for a much needed sleep? BUT for me I always have my last resort which is stories telling. Both of my kids love stories especially bed time stories and I believe all the kids do as well.My kids will not call it a day until I told them stories. Some time I do run out of ideas as most of the stories had been told before and some time I do repeat them due to popular demand, but some time I just make up and keep the story line interesting for them.

As a parent I believe this is one of the habit we should took interest in especially if you kids is a little ones. You can always add the moral of the stories to educate them.Well something fun to do and I hope when my kids grew up they will do the same to their off spring. As you know most children can’t resist the excitement of curling under their blankets to listen to the adventures of their favorite storybook characters.Especially if the stories are narrated by their lovable parents.

The Door To Hell

Door to Hell in night view
There is place in Uzbekistan that is known by locals as "The Door to Hell". It is located outside of the small town of Darvaz. It is literally a massive pit that has been burning night and day for the past 35 years. So where did it come from? Well, 35 years ago, a team of geologists was drilling for gas. During the course of their drilling, the team discovered an absolutely gigantic underground cavern that was filled with gas.

The Poison Plastic

It's one of the most hazardous consumer products ever created.  It’s dangerous to human health and the environment at every stage of its lifecycle: from production, to use, to disposal, yet it’s the most widely used material on earth. Beware of PVC, the Poison Plastic.

Did you know: Most plastics are made from petroleum (oil or natural gas) and plastics can contain a whole host of chemical additives that are never labelled that can be toxic to animals and humans.  PVC is one such toxin-laden plastic.

Learn The Art Of Kissing!

If you simply rewind your thought about the Bollywood and Hollywood movies that fetched good revenues and have been in the minds of many viewers, you will realise that those which had the maximum or hottest kissing scenes made big money than the normal ones. Titanic, Spiderman 1, Jab We Met were some of the best blockbuster 'kissing' hits ever made. While movies like Aisha bombed just because of missing the kiss scene in the climax.

So kissing means a lot to people who watch and for those who experience. All these 'Mills And Boon' and fairy tale
romance fans feel that a love story cannot have a greater beginning or ending without a kiss. Even kids who are hardcore followers of Harry Potter books go blushy when they read Harry kissing his close friend's sister Ginny Weasley. Today, I will tell you all about the art of kissing and pleasing your partner.

Eclipse Special Observances

The Legend
When the gods and the demons churned the milky ocean in days of yore, nectar came out of it. Lord Vishnu assumed the form of Mohini, a charming lady, deluded the demons and distributed the nectar only among the gods. But Rahu had disguised himself as a god. The sun and the moon pointed this out to Mohini who immediately slashed off the demon’s head. Since the nectar had by then already reached up to the neck, he did not die. Thus the head came to be known as Rahu and the body as Ketu. To avenge this betrayal, Rahu and Ketu periodically eclipse the sun and the moon.

Astronomically speaking, when the sun, the moon and the earth are all in line, with the moon or the earth at the centre, a solar or lunar eclipse takes place respectively.

Ayyappa Here I come

                                                  Dharma Shasta

17 November marked the first day of "Kartigai" the month in Hindu calender and also marked the wearing of scared rosary or "Mala" by devotee for pilgrimage to "Sabari Mala" or Mount Sabari for annual pilgrimage to see Lord Ayyappa.During this period there will be million of devotee tracking the route to the hill top.I had this experience where I undertook the pilgrimage to the holly hill of Sabari. You had to be there yourself to experience them with 48days of strict fasting.Ayyappan story is well know to everyone but let re-visit the Ayyappan History which may confuse some people on his birth and origin.Lord had existed during the Puranic time itself and not during the Pandalam Maharaja region. This period is actually an incarnation of Lord Dharma Shasta.

The Antonomy Of Fear

Don't tell me you don't fear anything. So far I did not meet any guys or girl which they don't have fear or don't fear anyone or anything.I do have fear and most human do and same goes to animal. If you put a cat or whack it the poor fellow do run away because of fear.I think human fear a lot compare to animal and the concept of fear are actually created by human.Animal do not have any Halloween or Friday the 13th in their community. Our brain would make adaptions due to this fear factors.

There are peoples who we can say or look like macho man when physically you look at them they seem to portrait the perfect guy that come in to save the world.Their appearance look promising that there is not such thing call fear to them but when you expose the animal call "cockroaches" he will run mad like running from ghost who chase him like 60km per hour. That what I call fear.Do asked yourself this question.Anyway lets come back to the main topic which I would like to share some simple and understandable Antonomy of Fear which I believe can shade some understanding but will not take a way fear from you.

Lydia De Vega the Philippines golden girl

26th SEA game is currently sizzling in Indonesia and initially I plan to write something about this game but some or rather when I think about SEA game I will defiantly remember some of the athletes from Malaysia like sprinter Rabuan Pit,Marina Chin ect.ect and the most I remembered is non other than my favorite from Philippines "De Vega Mercado Lydia" or simply call Lydia De Vega.Even though she is not from my home country Malaysia I really admired her style and sprint.Well I use to be a sprinter during my school day and 100m,200m and 400m is my favorite which I use to dominate during my hay days in school.

If now you want me to sprint you had to put a "Doberman" behind me and that will be by chance or luck if ever I can make it or not.Well I would not like to mention that anyway but to everyone knowledge Lydia De Vega had become synonyms during the 80's especially in SEA games.Philippines have a lot of talented athlete till today especially on track and field.

The Other Side of Chinese Growth - Ghost Cities

I remember when I visited China,Guangzhou the city have 2 major spot.Where I stay during my business trip is a 5 star Mayor hotel which oversee the huge Olympic stadium standing majestically where I can't even believe my eyes that China have this kind of high profile building. The place I stayed which is a few kilometer away from Guangzhou Industrial area is a new modern town by itself.A Jusco shopping complex,Mc Donald and some recognizable outlet which really fascinating.I did not even imagine that China had grown to this standard with modern infrastructure. The second spot is down town old Guangzhou with original China style town which I like the most.Typical old China town with a lot of traditional still intact. They even made noodles by hand on the same spot. That really something interesting to see.

I did not aspect this kind of culture change shock in China where I still think the same old style of living.I had a chance to visit one of my working colleges apartment which I can only say outstanding.Of cause not to mention on those are really poor. All the gadgets in the world are on my friend possession and until today I still keep in touch with him through mail and Face book.He use to update what is the latest gadget he is having and to my surprise he have almost 15 hand phone as a collection and Ipad..? Well this you can get it cheap in China with China made of cause.

The cost of killing Gaddafi

By Shenali Waduge

In 2009 Libya was a friend to the US so much so that Libya allowed several US corporate giants to enter & approval was given for training of Libyan security personnel & civilians. These were the civilians that eventually became rebels given arms by the West to overthrow Gaddafi in a movement called liberating Libya .Arming locals has become a new strategy to avoid deaths to coalition forces while NATO is tasked to take on the indiscriminate air strikes. So what has been the cost for killing a man who has ruled a nation for 42 years without debt to the IMF or the World Bank? It took 8 months for US-NATO to take over Libya, the pro-US Libyan Government may celebrate & rejoice but that celebration is as short-lived as the jubilations in Iraq & Egypt where the people are beginning to realize their country would have still been better off with Saddam Hussein & Hosni Mubarak!

Bagaimana Tekanan Jiwa Membunuh Anda

Tribute to "Smokin" Joe (1944 - 2011)

                                                              Joe Frazier
I like world heavyweight boxing and I started to like this during my teenager time where the "Black Superman" Muhammad Ali rules the boxing world. And at the same period of time another boxer Joe Frazier a former heavyweight was ruling before his Fight Of The Century with Ali which Frazer lost.He battled Ali nearly to the death in the Thrilla in Manila.

That was one fight Frazier never could win."He once was a heavyweight champion, and a great one at that" commented Ali when Frazier knocked him down in the 15th round en route to becoming the first man to beat him (Ali) at Madison Square Garden in March 1971.

Aliens In Brazil

Amazing video footage of an alleged alien in Brazil is being touted as some of the best evidence ever that aliens exist. The video posted below was reportedly taken by a couple of British tourists that were visiting the Mamaus region of Brazil. It was later obtained by paranormal researcher Michael Cohen and it has been creating quite a stir all over the world.

The British tourists were filming a group of local children, but what was captured on video behind the children is absolutely mind blowing if it is real.  As you can see in the video below, a pudgy "grey alien" and a very small silver blinking orb can be seen along the edge of the tree line.So is this video the real thing?
Well, there are certainly some things about it that point toward credibility.

Invisibility - Breakthrough for Japanese Researchers

                                                                                                Example of gyroid

Uli Wiesner from Wesner Lab, has shown how to create metamaterial by using chemistry. The process involves in using what is called block copolymers to assemble 3-D structure in nanoscale features

As you all know, polymer is substance that is made up by binding to molecules together to form a new material with new properties. A block copolymers on the other hand is the combination of two or more polymers. Now the two solid polymers will form geometric shapes with interconnected pattern that can be called as gyroid. More complex pattern or shapes can be achieved by using three polymers instead of just two.

                                                         Water Bags keep flies away

Perhaps you've visited a restaurant and seen clear, water-filled bags hanging on the doors or cinched up in the outdoor dining area. You might ask, "What's all this about? Some crazy new way to control temperature? A scheme to save money on water pitchers?"
While any effect on temperature is purely accidental, these hanging bags are all about driving pests away. People hang these bags outside their homes, businesses to drive flies away.
